The film we’re making

The room
went quiet

In 1970, seven of the top ten songs in America were made by bands. People in a room, playing at the same second, watching each other’s hands.

Today that sound is nearly gone. No one has really explained why it worked then, or why it stopped.

So we’re making a film and a book about the people who were in the room — and we’re going to find them before they’re gone.

The film is coming · Members hear it first

You’ve been telling us this for months.

@michealsullivan4205

Remembering the times of my youth, when my generations focus and efforts were to come together and lift each other up, not divide each other and tear our bonds apart. I hope we all return to a path of peace and caring for each other soon.

@davecombsvibe66

Imagine being a 10 year old and hearing this song all the time on the radio not knowing what they looked like (5 years before MTV and no social media) which created an imagination going wild. Hard to believe this song is already 50 years ago.

@Neo-Midgar

This channel is incredible, the musical education I wish I’d had as a child. To the Mother: thank you for exposing her to the tapestry of music and supporting her musical gifts. It’s beautiful to see.

@richardmartin9565

Had to listen to bring back memories.

@tradeladder146

So many memories of my Glorious Youth. 😊

@npageejay

Bless you Leona for wishing you were a teenager in the 1970’s! One of the consolations for getting older is knowing that I was around for this when it first came out!

@jackweasel13

Awesome reaction. Love to see more people especially young ones listen and appreciate them Thanks ❤️

@JohnLedger-g4i

The music you bring us is like “Yesterday Once More”. You bring back so many great songs we older ones loved many years ago.

@mattb-i8i

Always love young watching people experiencing music I grew up with (says a white haired codger). Peace

@ReijoMustikka

That was so refreshing reaction. I just love to see young person in these times to love the same energy that I fell in love more than 45 years ago. There is still some hope for the world.

@snapdrummer1

the passion you exhibit for your age is refreshing, ’for a lack of a better word’

@charlesmarkley220

Young lady it warms my heart so to know you are listening to this for the first time at about the same age as I first listened. 😊 It was really a grand time for music.
